A poem about Ikea

I was walking through Ikea on a weekend afternoon, looking for some stuff for a friends DIY wedding celebration. I think the idea of her getting married and me being surrounded by furniture ignited a thought about how humans look for reassurances in the stuff they hold on to – people, things, books, souvenirs and so much more like furniture in particular. My friends, Jamil who runs The Poetryhood and Ayah Ballout, a film-maker  loved the idea and one fine day we found ourselves back at Ikea shooting a video that turned out to be fun to watch and listen to. Video shot and edited by Ayah.
